I know Thanksgiving is over but I'm just all in my feels right now. I didn't blog this past week because I was working a lot and wanted to take some time to myself and relax while off the clock. This year has been kind of rough and had a lot of life changes, but the other night while looking at Cinderella Castle all lit up for the holidays, it really hit me how thankful I am for the life I'm living. Sorry if this post gets a little sappy but oh well.
I get to work in the most magical place on earth. As cheesy and cliche as that sounds, it's truly amazing to work at Disney World and I'm so lucky to get to call this place my home. I have a job that most people would kill for and getting to make magic for so many guests means the world to me. There was honestly a point in my internship where I wanted to self term because I lost the magic. But recently, the magic was restored. I fell in love with my job all over again. Earlier this afternoon, I was doing our VIP Classics tour and there were three little girls that became my best friends and were insistent of riding the last ride with me. We held hands and enjoyed our ride together on the Jingle Cruise. They definitely reminded me of how much I love my job and why I keep doing what I do. I'm beyond thankful to get to call VIP Tours my home until June 2018 since I was offered an extension on my program!
I have such loving and supportive parents. Yeah, my parents make me mad and annoy me sometimes but they are my number one supporters. They let me follow my dreams of working for Disney twice and helped with the move to Florida each time. They pushed me to graduate in four years and I'm so glad they did because college honestly wasn't my favorite time period. The other week when I posted about the blogging bullies, my parents told me how they were so proud of me and it was something that made me tear up. Blogging and putting my life out there isn't easy, but when my parents tell me that they are proud of me, it makes me love blogging even more. I couldn't be more thankful that they encouraged me to pursue my dreams.
I have some of the greatest friends I've ever had. Between friends from my Disney College Program, friends from my current and past jobs, and my roommates, I've found people that will truly be my friends for life. I know I can count on so many people to be there for me and pick me up when I'm down. One of my favorite roommate moments is when we did a Halloween photoshoot and the pictures turned out so cute. We are in the process of making matching shirts for every holiday thanks to one of my roommates, Zoe, and it's safe to say we are obsessed with our Halloween and Thanksgiving shirts considering we wear them all the time. My friends from work are some of the funniest and craziest people I know. From daily salt sessions to jamming out in the cars at work, they definetly keep life interesting. I am so thankful for the joy they bring into my life.
To be completely honest, I haven't been this happy in a very long time. I think I'm finally finding myself here and creating a damn good life that I love. The only thing to make me even happier would be to have some cats of my own but I gotta wait a bit for that one. I'm so ready to continue making magic and living my best life.
